Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V.

Financial year ended 31 December 2025

Introduction

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made in accordance with Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. (“KCME”, “the Company”) during the financial year ended 31 December 2025 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains.

KCME has zero tolerance towards modern slavery and human trafficking and is committed to respecting human rights in its operations, supply chains, and business relationships. Responsibility for oversight of modern slavery risks rests with the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer under the supervision of the Board of Directors.

Organisational Structure

KCME is a Dutch private limited liability company (besloten vennootschap met beperkte aansprakelijkheid) with its registered seat in Lelystad, the Netherlands. KCME is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd.(“KCM”), Japan, and forms part of the Kobe Steel Group. KCME has permanent establishments in several European countries, including the United Kingdom.

Supply Chain

KCME distributes construction machinery supplied predominantly by its parent company, KCM, which accounts for more than 95% of KCME’s procurement of machinery and core components. In addition, KCME engages third-party service providers for logistics, information technology, and professional services within Europe.

Policies

KCME operates in alignment with group-wide policies and principles adopted at Kobe Steel Group and KCM Group level, including respect for human rights, prohibition of forced labour and child labour, non-discrimination, and ethical business conduct. These principles are reflected in KCME’s internal rules, employment manuals, and Code of Conduct.

Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

KCME applies a risk-based and proportionate approach to assessing modern slavery and human trafficking risks. Given the nature of its operations and supplier base, KCME considers the overall risk level to be relatively low. Where credible concerns arise, KCME cooperates with relevant group compliance and governance functions to ensure appropriate investigation and remediation.

Effectiveness

KCME monitors the effectiveness of its approach through regular policy reviews, communication and training activities, and oversight mechanisms. Its approach is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to support continuous improvement.

Approval

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement was approved by the Board of Directors of KCME and signed on its behalf by the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer.
